Just like traditional postcards here at Postcards to New York I'm aiming to keep things short and sweet. A picture or two and a smidge of text to keep you up to date on the best workouts, meals, and trips that are keeping me busy since leaving NYC. Living in Singapore since 2014 my focus is on South East Asia with a constant yearning for the City that Never Sleeps.
One of the best parts of getting out of New York (and the US) is the opportunity to travel. Whether it is a quick getaway or an extended vacation, a beachside retreat or bustling city break, girls weekends or a couple's holiday, Postcards to New York has got you covered. One bad habit I have hung on to since my city days is an inability to sit still so my trips tend to be packed with things to do, places to see, and treats to eat. For inspiration on where to spend your precious leave visit my travel reviews.
In the words of Julia Child, "People who love to eat are always the best people." It is probably no surprise that I love to eat (and drink!) One of the great joys of leaving in Singapore is the amazing local food. Not being able to eat wheat has forced me to bring both mindfulness and flexibility to mealtimes, but the one thing I will not compromise is taste. To find out what I'm currently craving or recommending take a look at my latest food reviews.
My love for arts and theatre coupled with my inability to draw or act lead me to costume design at a young age. I started sewing in my teens. I fell in love with the way sewing lends itself to somewhat guided creativity. My flat is finally large enough to allow me to sew again. When I'm not busy stuffing my face with food or jet setting around the world, odds are you'll find me behind the machine tinkering with one of my many stock piled patterns. Take the guess work out of deciding what patterns to make within my sewing section.
